Indian Air force Group X exam is conducted for technical and non technical airmen vacancies in the Air force who are deployed for ground based duties as pertheir trade.

AIR FORCE GROUP‘X’

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 in mathematics , Physics and English with minimum 50% marks OR Three years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream with minimum 50% marks from a Government recognized polytechnic Institute. Age: 17-21 years.

AIR FORCE GROUP‘Y’

Educational Qualification: Should have passed class 10 + 2 Intermediate / Equivalent exam from an education board / Institute listed in council of Boards for school Education (COBSE)Website as members, in any stream/subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English as per the mark sheet of class 10 + 2/ Intermediate / Equivalent exam. Age : 17-21 years. PAY : During training, a stipend off 14600/- per month will be paid on completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including military service pay (MSP) and Group ‘X' pay [applicable for group ‘x’ (technical) Trades only] plus Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows.

Group ‘X’ (Technical) Trade :
₹ 33100/- per month (approximately) plus DA (as applicable) which in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.

Group ‘Y’ (Non-technical) Trade :
₹ 26900/- per month (approximately) plus DA (as applicable) which in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
